| I also got a nice back view of the curls. |
However with all the layers in my hair it began to fall out. I apparently didn't put enough hair spray on it. Oh, well. You live and learn.
I still wanted a faux bang, so I attempted a 60s style faux bang that Ashley of LisaFreemontStreet did in her Youtube tutorial on faux bangs. And so here is my attempt. I rather like it!
Have you attempted a faux bang? If so how did you like it?

aw! so cute! your hair is awsome, i also love your glasses. the 60s look is also great, you also had very nice curls in the back.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of brush do you use?
Beth
Thanks, Beth! I wanted the Kyra Sedgwick frames and this is what was closest to that. I used foam rollers cause I'm not an expert in pin curls. Hmmm, I think it was some paddle brush from the dollar store. I'll try and photograph all of my hair products I use sometime. Maybe at the first of the year.
DeleteThat looks fantastic!!!! You should wear your hair like this more often. Before you get it cut off, anyway. LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, sis! I might try it. I don't know when I'll be able to get into Amy's salon.
DeleteYour hair turned out fantastic! You're so pretty and have such a sweet face, dear Sean (I think this is the first big photo I've seen of you). I hope you'll share more of your hair, fashion, etc experiments and looks with us.
ReplyDelete♥ Jessica
Jessica, you're such a sweetheart!! I know I need to do more OP's. I just don't get the chance to dress up as much. But next time I get all dolled up, I'll ask my sis to photograph it. :)
DeleteAwww you are so cute:) Am I allowed to say this? I love how you were able to get curls in the back of your hair. I hope you share more photos of your vintage adventures:)

Awe, thank you, Joanna! I'd much rather have cute than be called sexy or something like that. :-) I plan on it. I have some pics I haven't posted yet, I might have to organize them and then post it!
DeleteThat second style is so cute on you!! I love it! And with the scarf it's so pin-up perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dame! I kinda like the first, because it's 50s. But I love a good side bang! Scarves are one of my fave vintage hair accessories, even more than hats.
DeleteYou look so pretty with your hair that way and the curls are just perfect! Your glasses and the scarf really add to the vintage look, too!
ReplyDeleteI tried a 50's faux bang once and was pleasantly surprised that it stayed in as victory rolls seldom do. I haven't attempted it again, but considering the recent 50's dress making spree I'm on, I definitely see styling my hair that way again in the near future.
Thank you, Inky!! I love scarves more than I love hats. I wish I wore them more.
DeleteOh, you should definitely do it!! I wish I had more 50s ensembles in my wardrobe. :-/
